THE Philippines’ security forces are preparing to deploy troops for the upcoming Holy Week from March 24-30, 2024.
Especially here in Metro Manila where most travelers are heading back to the provinces.
According to estimates from the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), around 1.7 million passengers will flock to their terminal.
They have also applied for special permits for routes that will lack units next week.
To ensure the safety of passengers, random drug tests will be conducted on PITX bus drivers in collaboration with PDEA and LTO.
Their K-9 units’ surveillance has also been intensified.
The PITX personnel are fully prepared to assist travelers.
They are advising passengers to book tickets early to avoid hassle.
For walk-in passengers, terminal management advises arriving early at PITX.
The Quezon City Traffic and Transport Management is also on high alert this Holy Week.
Especially since QC hosts the largest bus terminal in Metro Manila.
