196 na mga Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) ang ipinamahagi sa mga Agrarian Reform beneficiary ng Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
Katumbas ito ng nasa 142.32 hectares ng lupang sakahan para sa 150 mga benepisyaryo.
Ang mga nabigyan ng CLOA ay mga magsasaka mula sa mga bayan ng Cuartero, Dumarao, Mambusao, Panit-an, Roxas City, Tapaz, Sigma at Maayon.
Nanguna sa distribusyon ng CLOA si DAR Assistant Regional Director Lucrecia Taberna.
“With the awarded lands, comes greater responsibilities. We trust in your commitment to cultivate and make your land productive to be able to fulfill your responsibilities as landowners,” saad pa ni Taberna.
Nagbigay naman si Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Anthony Arostique sa mga benepisyaryo na huwag ibenta o isangla ang kanilang mga lupa.
“Do not sell or lease your lands and fulfill your obligations of paying the amortization of compensable lands and real property taxes. The DAR would continue to help you enrich your land by providing you with necessary support services,” ayon kay Arostique.
