2022 Accomplishment Reports at 2023 Plans & Programs, sentro ng talakayan sa ika-13 Cabinet meeting

PINANGUNAHAN ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang unang Cabinet meeting para sa taong 2023 umaga ng Martes, sa Malacañang Palace.

Kasama rin sa nasabing meeting ang newly appointed cabinet secretaries na sina Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. at Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil.

Sa naturang pulong, sinabi ni Malacañang Press Briefer Daphne Oseña-Paez na ipinagpatuloy rito ang pagtalakay sa mga nagawa ng bawat ahensya ng pamahalaan noong nakaraang taon.

Pinag-usapan din sa Cabinet meeting ang mga plano at programa ng bawat ahensya ngayong 2023.

Kasunod nito, inaasahan na maipagpapatuloy ang nasimulang mga hakbang ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Marcos tungo sa maunlad na ekonomiya.

Kabilang sa mga ahensiya na nagpresenta sa Cabinet meeting ang mga kalihim ng Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of the Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Energy (DOE).

Inihayag ni Oseña-Paez na ilan sa highlights sa Cabinet meeting ang iprinesenta ni Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla na naging achievements ng DOJ noong 2022 kasama ang mga plano ng ahensiya para sa 2023.

“He highlighted the Justice Department’s theme of compassionate justice in keeping with the directive of the President who asked that he checked on legal representation of prisoners based on the President’s experience  in Ilocos Norte where he remembered that many prisoners didn’t have access to lawyers,” ani Ms. Daphne Oseña-Paez, Malacañang Press Briefer.

Sa DepEd naman, iprinesenta ni Education Secretary at Vice President Sara Duterte ang mga plano para sa inclusive learning, pag-improve ng curriculum maging ang suporta para sa mga guro.

 “The DepEd will be presenting a revised K to 12 curriculum for basic Education on January 30th. The theme of DepEd is Bansang Makabata at Batang Makabansa,” dagdag ni Paez.

Sa parte naman ng DSWD, naatasan ang ahensiya na manatiling nakahanda at naka-heightened alert sa epektong dala ng sama ng panahon.

“The DSWD it should be noted that the President had asked the DSWD to always remain ready and on heightened alert as it seems that the rains, the season are not letting up. So we must remain vigilant,” dagdag ni Paez.
