3 ranking CTG leaders fall in Panay

THE 301st Infantry “Bayanihan” Brigade moved closer to attaining total victory over the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) in Panay with the death of two ranking CTG leaders and the recovery of the body of a third CTG leader on August 15, 2024 in Barangay Cabatangan, Lambunao, Iloilo.

The CTG leaders killed during the encounter were identified by former rebels as Maria Concepcion Araneta Bocala and Vivian Torato Teodosio, also known as Minerva/Mara/Moray. Prior the encounter, Bayanihan troops swooped down on the CTG hideout in the Lambunao hinterlands where they discovered an abandoned decaying cadaver who was later identified by a former rebel as Vicente Hinojales.

The Army leadership commended the Bayanihan troopers for their commitment to attain lasting peace and development in their area of responsibility while the 3rd Infantry Division leadership called on the CTG remnants to surrender and avail of the government’s reintegration program for former rebels.
