SUMUKO sa mga otoridad ang 41 communist supporters ng Kasigudan Aywanan Takderan Binangon di Kabunyan Organization (KATABIKO) sa Barangay Bunga, Tadian Mt. Province.
Ayon kay General Ernesto Torres Commander, AFP Northern Luzon, isang mass base support group ng Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) na sumuko sa 69th Infantry Batallion ng Joint Task Group Defender at Joint Task Force.
Resulta anila ito ng pinaigting na local peace initiative sa lugar.
“The conduct of collaborated local peace initiatives by the security forces and the local government units in the area paved the way for the peaceful and voluntary surrender of the 41 communist terrorist supporters,“ayon kay General Torres.
Ang KATABIKO ay bahagi ng indigenous sector na una nang naimpluwensiyahan ng panlilinlang ng nga rebeldeng komunistang teroristang kilusan.
“Your security forces in the North will continue to gear towards a more peaceful approach in encouraging our brothers and sisters who are still under the claws of the CTG’s to yield to the government and avail of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP). Isa ang communist terrorism sa mga prayoridad ng pamahalaan na kinakailangang masugpo upang matigil na kaguluhan at karahasan sa bansa at maitaguyod ang kapayapaan lalo na sa pagdaraos ng mga mahahalagang aktibidad sa bansa gaya ng pambansang halalan.
