6-storey East Avenue Medical Center Extension seen to boost healthcare services in NCR

THE construction of the six storey East Avenue Medical Center Multipurpose Building at East Avenue Medical Center, Quezon City being implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region, is seen to further boost healthcare services in the region.

The building will address critical healthcare challenges observed during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has exposed long-standing shortage of medical facilities. The first phase of this project involves constructing a six-storey multi-purpose building as an extension to the existing center, seen to enhance the hospital’s capacity to provide outpatient, inpatient, and emergency medical care.

This project started under the Build Better More program of the Marcos administration, spearheaded by Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan will reduce patient queues, while bringing advanced, and specialized medical services closer to the public.

With the DPWH-NCR reporting a significant leap ahead of the schedule, the patients and medical workers will be able to enjoy the multipurpose building sooner.
