800 RITM employees undergo COVID-19 testing

AROUND 790 employees of the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Muntinlupa City underwent swab testing.

This was after 43 RITM’s personnel were positive for COVID-19.

According to RITM Director Dr. Celia Carlos, they are just waiting for the COVID-19 results.

At the same time, RITM laboratories have a temporary shutdown and are likely to last until Friday due to the ongoing decontamination of buildings.

Despite this, RITM is confident that its testing backlog will be completed by the end of April.
