THE 801st Infantry Brigade (801Bde), 8th Infantry Division participated in the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) Roll-Out for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism-Early Warning, Prevention, and Response (PCVE-EWPR) at the M Grand Royale Resort, Catbalogan City, Samar on July 31, 2024.
During the activity, 801Bde Commander Brig. Gen. Lenart R. Lelina showcased the unit’s commitment to promoting peace peace and security in Samar Island. The unit’s participation also highlighted its dedication to collaborating with other stakeholders to prevent violent extremism.
Among the participants for the activity were the Provincial Director of DILG Samar, Assistant Regional Director for Counterintelligence, Operation Officer of SPPO, Local Risk Reduction and Management Officer from PDRRMO, and Barangay and SK Chairmen from various municipalities of Samar.
