A group has issued a warning that they will file legal cases against individuals promoting obscenity on TV and social media in Facebook.
They have already filed several charges against an actress they found posting ‘’lewd content’’ on Facebook.
“Girl to girl sexual act, on the Facebook page itself. It’s not just on the Vivamax application. On the Facebook page, did you see it? They are naked. Two women kissing,” according to Atty. Mark Tolentino, Lead Counsel, Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas Inc (KSMBPI).
This is just one of the explicit content uploaded on the verified Facebook account of Fil-Korean Sexy Actress, Angeli Khang.
According to the Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas Inc. (KSMBPI), the explicit content posted by the actress is a great offense to the youth.
To teach her a lesson, they have filed six counts of criminal charges against Khang at the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office.
“So, Ms. Khang has 1-M followers on her Facebook page, and you can see that there are a lot of obscene acts being performed using the Facebook application,” Atty. Tolentino said.
The charges filed against the actress are for violation of Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code, which is related to the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Each count is equivalent to 20 years of imprisonment and a fine of P200,000.
“These are obscene publications. This is what we are addressing. And we hope that… there is a message because the Kapisanan is sending a message to the public and our government, and I think our laws in cyberspace and cybercrime need to be strengthened, especially concerning obscene publications about the cybercrime law,” Atty. Tolentino added.
Co-Stars of Angeli Khang to face multiple raps
Apart from Khang, KSMBPI has also stated that they will file charges against other fellow sexy stars of the group.
This includes AJ Raval and other A-listers from Vivamax.
“So, let this be a warning to all. That we should be responsible in producing content and to our producers and content creators,” according to Bernie Miaque, Secretary General, KSMBPI.
The filing of cases by KSMBPI does not end here.
The group ensures that they continue to monitor and are ready to file cases against those who promote obscenity on television and social media.
Even during the season of giving and forgiveness approaching.
“To the nude content creators, as I mentioned… Santa Claus is coming to town. So, if you don’t stop what you’re doing, you might spend Christmas in jail,” Tolentino said.
