Arab ministers call for relief corridors to deliver urgent aid in Gaza

MOHAMMED bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, joined his counterparts in the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic Summit in Washington this week.

The ministers discussed developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip including efforts for an immediate ceasefire.

They also discussed ways to ensure securing relief corridors for delivering urgent humanitarian, food, and medical aid in the war-torn Gaza Strip.

To recall, US Deputy Ambassador Robert Wood vetoed the recent United Nations resolution that called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and argued that it would only push Hamas to continue to rule the besieged enclave and ‘plant the seeds for the next war’.
