THE Philippine Army troops, through the 2nd Infantry Division (2ID), conducted rescue operations for 1,500 individuals amid Super Typhoon Carina in the province of Rizal on July 24-25, 2024.
Together with various Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) and local government agencies, three Disaster Response Units (DRUs) of 2ID and troops from the 2nd Civil-Military Operations Battalion (2CMOBn) and 80th Infantry Battalion (80IB) assisted typhoon-affected families and individuals from their residents to designated evacuation centers.
