Asia CEO Awards recognizes companies, leaders for business excellence

ONCE again, the Asia CEO Awards, along with Globe Telecom, has proven that the Philippines is indeed home to businesses and business leaders that uphold the highest global standards.

On Monday evening, entrepreneurs and companies gathered for an awards night held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom.

According to Asia CEO Awards Chairman Richard Mills, they received over eight hundred nominations for the 14th year of the prestigious awards ceremony.

Of the 800 nominees, eighty companies or individuals made it to the ‘circle of excellence,’ with fifteen of them being crowned grand winners in various categories.

Among those honored were Wipro Philippines Inc. Country Head Aseem Roy as the Expatriate Executive of the Year, Shawarma Shack Group President and CEO Walther Buenavista, MicroSourcing Philippines Inc., and Beepo CEO Haidee Enriquez as the Woman Leader of the Year, Sante International Inc.

CEO Jesus Joey Marcelo as the Entrepreneur of the Year, and Maybank Philippines as the CSR Company of the Year.

Infosys BPM Philippines Country Head Ma. Rhodora Campos was also recognized as the Global Filipino Executive of the Year. Noteworthy companies and businesses like Eduksine received the Technology Company of the Year award, Nestle Philippines was honored as the Diversity Company of the Year, Immuni Global Incorporated as the SME Company of the Year, Asian Hospital and Medical Center as the Service Excellence Company of the Year, Maya as the Most Innovative Company of the Year, Robinsons Mall as the Sustainability Company of the Year, IBM Philippines as the Executive Leadership Team of the Year, Concentrix Philippines as the Top Employer of the Year, and Seda Hotel as the Wellness Company of the Year.

For this year, the Lifetime Contributor Awardees were Dr. Andrew Tan, Founder and Chairman of The Alliance Global Group, and Former Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales.

Asia CEO Awards Founder Rebecca Bustamante believes that the Philippines can become a ‘first world country’ if every Filipino continues to do what’s right for the progress of the nation.
