Biden’s verbal slip-up earns response from Kremlin

THE president of the United States committed another verbal slip-up that caught the attention of Russia.

Kremlin responded after US President Joe Biden seemed to have confused Iraq with Ukraine.

In his latest gaffe, reporters in Chicago asked Biden whether Russian President Vladimir Putin was weakened after a short-lived rebellion by Wagner Group Yevgeny Prigozhin.

The mutiny was considered one of the most significant risks to Putin’s decades-long leadership.

Responding to the question, Biden said the Russian president is losing the war in Iraq instead of Ukraine.

The verbal slip-up caught Russia’s attention, with Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov saying they are monitoring the situation very carefully and hoped Biden had Ukraine in mind instead of Iraq.

This is not the first time Biden committed verbal blunders or stumbled in public, causing him to be the subject of internet memes or receive the butt of attacks from former President Donald Trump and his campaign team.

Biden misspoke about the Russia-Ukraine War twice within 24 hours, with the first verbal slip-up happening while delivering a speech in Maryland.
