BRAZILIAN former President Jair Bolsonaro is back in Brazil after 3 months of staying in the United States.
Bolsonaro’s jet landed in the Brazilian capital. Hundreds of supporters gathered to greet the former president.
On December 30, 2022, Brazil’s former President Jair Bolsonaro left for Florida, United States, just 2 days before he was set to hand over the presidency to Lula da Silva.
Days after his departure, Bolsonaro supporters stormed the Brazilian Congress on January 8.
With this, the former president was facing an investigation into whether he incited the rioters to storm Congress, which was dubbed the ‘Brazilian insurrection.’
Meanwhile, after his arrival, the former president addressed other Liberal Party Politicians as he took a jab at incumbent President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
“Those people, who are in power now, won’t be able to just do what they like,” said Jair Bolsonaro, former president of Brazil.
It can be noted that Bolsonaro has never publicly recognized that Lula was the victor in last year’s presidential elections.
