This bill he authored is part of his broader advocacy for ensuring mental health support for students if enacted into law.
Additionally, he mentioned his co-authorship and co-sponsorship of Senate Bill No. 2200, the Basic Education Mental Health and Well-Being Promotion Act, aimed at creating a holistic mental health program in basic education if enacted into law.
Meanwhile, Go earlier co-authored and co-sponsored Republic Act No. 11510, which institutionalizes the Alternative Learning System (ALS) to improve basic education delivery to underserved and disadvantaged students; RA 11984, or the “No Permit, No Exam Prohibition Act,” which prohibits educational institutions from denying students the right to take exams due to unpaid fees; RA 12006 or the “Free College Entrance Examinations Act,” waiving entrance exam fees at private higher educational institutions for qualified top students; as well as RA 11997, or the “Kabalikat sa Pagtuturo Act,” which increases the teaching supply allowances for public school teachers.
In closing, Senator Go inspired the audience with a heartfelt message:
“Tandaan natin, minsan lang tayo dadaan sa mundong ito. Kung ano pong kabutihan o tulong na pwede nating gawin sa ating kapwa ay gawin na natin ngayon dahil hindi na tayo babalik sa mundong ito.”
The event concluded with a renewed commitment from the Precious International Family Association to continue its mission of service to the community, backed by Senator Go’s unwavering support for programs that uplift the lives of Filipinos.
