Brazil shines at Paris 2024 Olympics

THE Paris Olympics officially began on July 26, and the Brazil has already secured medals in several important events.

For the first time in history, the Brazilian delegation will have more women than men.

Women represent 55% of the qualified athletes (153 in total), an increase from the last edition of the competition, where they represented 47%.

In total, 276 athletes are participating in the games, competing in 39 different events. The competition runs from July 26 to August 11.

Team Brazil has already won some notable medals.

Among the medalists are Willian Lima, who won silver in judo in the 66kg category, Larissa Pimenta, who took bronze in judo in the 52kg category, and Rayssa Leal, who also won bronze in street skateboarding. The performance of the Brazilian athletes so far demonstrates the strength and talent of the delegation, with a special highlight on the women, who are in the majority this edition.
