Brgy. Addition Hills undergoes a week’s hard lockdown

BARANGAY Addition Hills in Mandaluyong City will undergo a week-long lockdown due to the high number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the area.


From May 7 to May 13, residents of the barangay will be strictly prohibited from leaving their homes.


Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos confirmed that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the village has reached 57.


Aside from the prohibition of leaving their house, the lockdown will also include mass testing for area residents to identify possible cases of COVID-19.


A school has been set up to house COVID-19 symptom patients, and it will serve as a quarantine facility for 150 people.


The city of Mandaluyong is partnered with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for the implementation of a total lockdown in the barangay.
