THE Holy Month of Ramadan was marred with a loud explosion that ripped through a busy market in Syria’s northern city of Azaz after a car bomb was detonated in the area.

The bombing incident killed eight and injured dozens of others.

Some of the victims sustained serious injuries.

The incident also caused severe damage to several infrastructures.

The bombing occurred right after the breaking of fast on Sunday.

The explosion happened in the rebel-held city of Azaz where alarming security incidents such as bombing are common scenarios.

No group has claimed responsibility yet for the attack.

The war in Syria has killed more than half a million people, and displaced millions more since 2011.
