THE Coast Guard District Southern Visayas (CGDSV), headed by Commodore Ludovico Librilla Jr PCG, together with the 1306th Auxiliary Squadron, led by Commodore Dannyl Yap PCGA, successfully held an Orientation and Indoctrination Seminar for twenty-three (23) beach owners at Dauin, Mega Market, Dauin, Negros Oriental, yesterday, 09 January 2025.
During the ceremony, Commodore Librilla Jr. PCG highlighted the vital role of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) in supporting and assisting the Philippine Coast Guard’s mission. He recognized the PCGA’s significant contributions as a volunteer force assisting in maritime safety, disaster response, and environmental protection.
Moreover, the indoctrination and seminar introduced participants to the organizational structure and values of the PCGA mission while outlining their responsibilities and critical roles in supporting maritime safety, environmental protection, disaster response, and proactive engagement with the communities they serve.
According to the CGDSV, the activity reflected the PCG and PCGA’s commitment to fostering capable and dedicated individuals who are ready to serve their communities and protect the nation’s waters. Likewise, the seminar ensures that new members are well-equipped to uphold values of service and volunteerism while supporting the PCG in its vital duties.
