SARADO ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) main office simula ngayong araw ng Huwebes Marso 11 hanggang sa Marso 24 dahil sa naiulat na mga kaso ng coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Ayon kay Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez, mananatili ring sarado ang mga opisina ng Regional Election Director ng National Capital Region (NCR), Region IV-A, at Region IV-B.
“The temporary closure of offices is being implemented as a precautionary measure, to prevent the further spread of the SARS-Cov-2 virus, in view of reports of documented recent transmission of the COVID-19 disease among employees,” ayon kay Jimenez.
Tiniyak naman ng Comelec na magpapatuloy ang nakatakdang Palawan plebiscite sa Marso 13 at ang May 2022 election.
“We wish to assure the public, however, that work remains unhampered. Preparations for the Palawan Plebiscite as well as the 2022 National and Local elections are underway and will continue to be undertaken by the officials and employees responsible,” dagdag ni Jimenez.
Para naman sa katanungan ng publiko ay maaaring ikontak ang mga opisina ng Comelec sa pamamagitan ng email at social media accounts.
“The offices concerned may be reached during regular working hours through their official email addresses and other official online communication platforms. Comelec’s official Facebook and Twitter accounts will be open for queries from the general public, “ ani Jimenez.
