CYPRUS, Israel, and Greece signed a new partnership during the ninth trilateral summit held in the divided capital of Nicosia earlier this week.
The said countries reviewed the progress in their trilateral partnership since the summit started eight years ago.
The three leaders agreed to deepen energy cooperation, particularly in natural gas, electricity, and renewable energy, and explore areas of interest in the eastern Mediterranean and broader region.
They also want to strengthen cooperation in other areas such as defense, emergency response, environment, tourism, health, technology and innovation, and diasporas.
The three leaders said other like-minded parties are welcome to join their forum.
Israel will host the next trilateral summit in 2024.
The three countries are also building the world’s longest and deepest subsea electricity cable that will link the power grids of the three countries with Europe.
