NILAGDAAN ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) ang isang Declaration of Cooperation na magpapalakas sa kanilang “partnership”.
Pinangunahan ito nina AFP chief of staff Lieutenant General Bartolome Vicente Bacarro at UNODC Philippines head at Senior Policy Advisor Oliver Georges-Lermet na ginanap sa AFP General Headquarters sa Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
Kabilang sa sinasaklaw ng nilagdaan dokumento ang common interests at areas of cooperation tulad ng health, counter-illicit drugs, counterterrorism, transnational organized crime, anti-corruption, human rights, at criminal justice.
Bagama’t non-legally binding ang nasabing deklarasyon ay inaasahang susundin ito “in good faith” ng AFP at UNODC.
Pinuri naman ni General Bacarro ang nilagdaan dokumento na magbibigay daan upang mapagbuti ang human rights and good governance practices ng AFP.
