DMW assures prompt repatriation of remains of Filipina who died in UAE fire

MIGRANT Workers Officer-in-Charge Hans Leo Cacdac confirmed that thirteen Filipinos were affected in the Sharjah Tower fire in the UAE last week.

Ten Overseas Filipino Workers, one OFW’s spouse, and their two children were in the residential building when the fire broke out.

Unfortunately, One Filipina perished, while her spouse was in critical condition and has been discharged from hospital in UAE.

Cacdac ensured the prompt repatriation of the couple.

Other Filipinos affected by the incident are currently staying in a hotel.

Among the five who perished in the fire was a Filipina. Meanwhile, Cacdac declined to provide details on the cause of the fire.

Meanwhile, A Filipino was among those injured after a fire that broke out in a residential building in Hong Kong’s Kowloon District.
