THE Department of National Defense (DND) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) held the traditional Joint New Year’s Call, led by Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. and AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr, January 3.
The event was attended by key figures, including officials from the Department of National Defense and General Headquarters (GHQ), Major Service Commanders, Foreign Armed Forces Attachés, Commanders of the Unified Commands, as well as the Sergeants Major of the AFP and Major Services, along with their spouses.
The Joint DND-AFP New Year’s Call is a long-standing tradition where senior officials and high-ranking military officers gather to pay their respects to the DND Secretary and AFP Chief.
This event provided a platform to showcase the DND and AFP’s 2024 achievements, reaffirm their national commitment, and share leadership’s vision for the coming year, underscoring the military’s continued dedication to national security and fostering unity within the defense forces as we move into 2025.
”May we continue to forge a path of progress and achieve great things together for our beloved Philippines,” General Brawner expressed in his message.
