DOT, JCI Manila explore collaboration opportunities

DEPARTMENT of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco met with the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Manila on Tuesday (March 18) at the DOT Central Office in Makati City to discuss opportunities for collaboration.

During the meeting, JCI Manila shared its successful bid to co-host the 2026 JCI World Congress, alongside JCI Angeles City Culiat.

The event is expected to attract thousands of young leaders from across the globe that will serve as a platform for cross-border knowledge exchange, networking, and collaborative projects that align with the Philippines’ vision for sustainable tourism and economic growth.

Secretary Frasco welcomed the initiative and emphasized that events of this scale not only strengthen the country’s position as a leading Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) destination but also provide a unique opportunity to showcase the Philippines to the world.

She highlighted that this allows the Philippines to showcase its capability in hosting global gatherings creating lasting impressions on visitors and inspiring them to Love the Philippines.

JCI Manila, Asia’s first and premier leadership development organization, shared its nearly 77-year legacy of fostering business innovation, youth empowerment, and community engagement.

Comprising young entrepreneurs, government officials, and corporate leaders, the organization remains dedicated to initiatives that contribute to national progress and sustainability.
