DOZENS of deals have been signed between China and Vietnam after Chinese President Xi Jinping traveled the Southeast Asian country for a two-day state visit.
Xi met Vietnamese leaders on Wednesday which marked the second day of his visit to the Capital of Hanoi.
The deals signed involved agreements on diplomatic ties, railways, and telecommunications.
This is the Chinese president’s first visit to Vietnam in six years.
Xi also paid tribute to the Mausoleum of the Founding Leader of Communist Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh, and met with other senior officials.
High-ranking Vietnamese officials welcomed the Chinese leader with a special banquet hosted by the Vietnamese president and the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam alongside their spouses.
The visit also marks the 15th Anniversary of the Establishment of a Comprehensive Strategic and Cooperative Partnership between China and Vietnam.
