DPWH R3 officials discuss key updates during Regional Staff Meeting

THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Region III recently held its first Regional Staff Meeting for 2025 at the office gymnasium in Sindalan, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, where Administrative Division Chief Atty. Aikko Kris Mallari-Argel warmly welcoming the participants.
Attended by key officials from the Regional Office, along with the 16 District and Assistant District Engineers and their respective Planning and Design Section Chiefs in Central Luzon, the session covered various topics to facilitate collaboration and improve operations within the agency.
DPWH Region III Director Tolentino led the discussion on the department’s policy instructions, key updates, and guidelines on Conditional Implementation for this year’s national budget, emphasizing that this forum aimed to align the goals and strategies of the different districts with the broader objectives of the department.
“Through this meeting, significant progress and achievements, coupled with a unified understanding of the new guidelines, have provided us with a significant strategic advantage, proactively preparing us for 2025’s challenges and possibilities,”Tolentino said.
Other topics discussed included the preliminary financial status report as of December 31, 2024, the status of physical accomplishments, 2025 engineering preparations, as well as DPWH convergence programs, routine maintenance of national roads and bridges, prohibited acts during the election period, latest administrative issuances, and other important matters.
Assistant Regional Director Melquiades Sto. Domingo expressed gratitude to the attending officials, acknowledging their continued dedication to the department’s mission and highlighting the importance of effective coordination across all district offices.
