DTI ensures enough supplies in the market

THE Department of Trade and Industry has ensured the public of enough supplies of commodities in the market despite some of the manufacturers are in a skeletal force scheme.

This was made clear by DTI Undersecretary Ruth Castelo, in an interview with SMNI News amidst the on-going enhanced community quarantine within Luzon island.

So, pinipilit nilang maka-comply sa demand. So, humahabol naman ang mga manufacturer natin,” said Castelo.

Usec. Castelo also said that there will be no price increase in any product in the market.

“Same po ng presyo kasi we have a price rate.

Meanwhile, Castelo also mentioned that DTI has issued a memorandum regarding anti-panic buying and anti-hoarding.

It’s up to them, kung gusto pa din nilang bilin yung gaanong kataas na presyo –above the price rate list. Bahala na po sila. Pero kung ayaw po nila ng ganoon, we suggest also, we encourage them i-report po nila sa atin para so we can take action,” she added.
