EDSA Busway areas now open after emergency repairs

SOME parts of the EDSA Bus Carousel stretch that was initially closed for emergency road repairs are now open.

According to MMDA acting Chairman Romando Artes, 16 areas of the EDSA Busway can now be passed through.

Because of this, he said, people can now expect a smooth flow of traffic on the repaired roads.

“Let’s hope that this will cause a good flow of traffic at the Bus Carousel. And maybe this will be our template for the future work of the DPWH,” Atty. Romando Artes, Acting Chairman, MMDA said.

According to Artes, they completed the road repairs ahead of schedule.

Only two parts of the EDSA Busway were added for emergency repair located Northbound in front of the DPWH office and at Muñoz in Quezon City.

The said roads opened this Wednesday, August 8th.

“If we look at it, we are still ahead of schedule because if we hadn’t allowed the extra two sites, we would have finished earlier, a day ahead of schedule,” Artes added.

Artes, on the other hand, thanked the DPWH for the good implementation of road repairs and the motorists for avoiding the said roads that caused light traffic flow.
