ON 16 June 2025, the Embassy of Japan welcomed special guests from this year’s TOYCON PH, the premier event for all things toys and collectibles in the Philippines.
Part of this year’s line-up included Japanese voice actors and visual kei artists Miura Ayme and Miko, actor Matsubara Kyotaro, and rock band WANMINI. Meeting with Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC) Director MATSUDA Shigehiro, they talked about the continued popularity of Japanese pop culture in the Philippines with an ever-growing community of passionate fans and enthusiasts. He also expressed his optimism that more Japanese artists will visit the Philippines in the future.
