FILIPINO businessmen in the United Kingdom actively joined a friendly golf tournament in its 2nd year, held in Royal Epping Forest Golf Course on July 30, 2023.
Eager to establish a golf club society, Mr. Jun Llandelar, the organizer of the golf tournament, has consistently and successfully made it in its second year, having more sponsors and connections this time around.
Familiar faces can be seen as Filipino golfers meet for the second year.
The British weather did not stop the excited golfers from completing the tournament.
This year, not only Filipinos joined the sport with a cause but also some British golfers.
“Most of the golfers have their own businesses here in the UK and the organizer took this opportunity to also grow their network by welcoming new sponsors. Sumptuous foods were served while everyone was having a good time after the game,” Sean Carter, Professional Golfer, Epping Golf Club, said.
On the other hand, the organizer wants the club to grow bigger in the next few years and to introduce golf as the new favorite sport of not only adults but also the Filipino-British younger generation.
Hence, he is looking forward to more competition and involvement from local residents.
He is also excited to go back to the Philippines to personally give financial support to their chosen foundation.
The organizer is to personally visit the “House of Hope” foundation sometime in August.
