IN January, public expressed its growing dissent with President Bongbong Marcos’s administration began with a prayer rally held in Davao City by supporters of Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
A similar event followed in February in Cebu City.
This Monday, a stronger prayer rally was held at Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila.
All are demanding justice amid what seems to be the imposition of a silent martial law in the country.
Political observer and retired Army Captain Clemente Enrique Jr. now see even more intensified actions against the current President.
“It will continue to build up because the administration’s approach is wrong. They persistently fail to address the issues and instead focus on suppressing dissent,” said Clemente ‘Dado’ Enrique Jr., Retired Army Captain, Political Vlogger.
“What will develop from now until June 30, exactly 2 years, the administration should be worried because exactly 2 years in, people may get annoyed and physically remove him from Malacañang. I’m referring to BBM,” he added.
According to Enrique, it’s wrong for the Marcos government to be vindictive against their critics.
He cited Former President Duterte’s TV program aired on SMNI, where Duterte labeled the House of Representatives as the most corrupt government agency and criticized the current government’s wrong steps, especially the increase in EDCA sites in the country.
To silence the former President and prevent further criticisms, Enrique believes that SMNI was suspended by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and MTRCB.
“No, no, that approach is completely wrong. BBM, you will only be inviting more problems, more participation, more involvement of the people. Think advisers, what should be answered there is sorry, sorry. Where did we go wrong? Thank you, right? And you commend, thank you very much. Where did we go wrong? Where can we fix this? Because UniTeam, right? Because I’ll be thankful that we’re here for you, that’s why we give you good governance. That’s the answer, very simple!” stated Enrique.
According to Enrique, leadership and character should prevail now because of the anger of many Filipinos.
The injustices in the Senate and the House of Representatives were not spared by the Baron of the PMA Class ’83.
Both Houses are simultaneously looking for Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy to appear in their respective investigations.
But according to Enrique, the people see the oppression against the good Pastor.
“The Senate, you are risking closure! Even Congress, you are risking closure! By the Filipino people! The people will shut you down!” exclaimed Enrique.
“Keep investigating! Keep it up! Keep hitting with injustice! How can you see? You’ll have witnesses against Pastor Quiboloy, but they’re fake! Sue them, send them to court! That’s where you’ll face off, fair fight! Not like this, destroying people in front of the public, and for what? Will you shine?” he added.
Enrique believes that the eyes of the Filipinos are now open.
They once hoped for Marcos Jr. to restore the tarnished name of his family because of Martial Law.
“Somehow, sometime, in the very near future, someone has to give. And it will not be the Filipino people! The Filipino people will stand up because the public knows what they should do! They’re just waiting,” he also added.
