FRENCH Prime Minister Gabriel Attal announced the government’s decision to raise the terror alert in the country to the highest level earlier this week.
The announcement came a few days after gunmen opened fire at a concert hall in Moscow, Russia this past Friday.
Afghanistan-based Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the terror attack.
The shooting spree killed more than 130 people and injured dozens of others.
Russia charged four men from the former Soviet republic of Tajikistan with terrorism.
Two of the four suspects pleaded guilty to committing the crime.
Questions remain on how Russia will respond after Islamic State militants claimed responsibility for the deadly shooting.
