G7 warns Iran against transfer of missiles to Russia

THE military cooperation between Russia and Iran once again gained the attention of G7 member states which include the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Britain, Italy, and Canada,

The bloc threatened to slap Iran with a new wave of sanctions if it continues to supply Russia with ballistic missiles and other related technologies such as drones and advanced rockets being used in its ongoing war with Ukraine.

Among the sanctions discussed by the bloc would be to ban flights of national carrier Iran Air to Europe.

There is no official confirmation yet that the ballistic missiles have been transferred to Russia.

Meanwhile, Washington’s plan to send $60 billion in aid to Ukraine is in limbo as Republican lawmakers from the House of Representatives resist the move for additional funding.

A few weeks ago, U.S. President Joe Biden urged Congress to pass a $95 billion wartime aid package for Ukraine, Israel, and other American allies.

Some Republican lawmakers in Congress argued that the U.S. government should use billions of dollars in Russian assets frozen in the West to pay for another round of military aid to Ukraine instead of setting up new funding.
