DISSATISFIED Greek farmers planning to hold protests in Athens while driving in their heavy tractors have their plans quashed by the government.
The Citizen Protection Minister denied the request and asked the farmers to use private cars or buses instead.
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis earlier this week offered farmers lower power bills for the next ten years to avoid massive protests in the capital.
The angry farmers said they would take the protests to Athens after getting frustrated with the high production costs.
Similar protests have taken place in Germany and Italy in recent weeks.
