TWO modern training aircraft arrived from Israel to Greece to train Greek Air Force pilots in handling modern fighter jets.
The two M–346s are the first of 10 aircraft expected to arrive in Greece under the government-to-government agreement between the Hellenic and Israeli Defense Ministries.
The advanced fighter jets are equipped with Elbit Systems’ integrated virtual avionics that simulates combat and flight scenarios to bring the training experience of the pilots to the highest level.
Manufactured by Italian aerospace company Leonardo, M-346 is a high-performance aircraft capable of flying capable of reaching an altitude of 45,000 feet and is an advanced fighter trainer with high angle-of-attack capability.
The Defense Ministries of Greece and Israel praise the progress achieved by both countries since the launch of the International Flight Training Center in 2021.
Greek state company Hellenic Defense Systems also partnered with South Africa’s Paramount Group to boost the local production of long-range loitering munitions.
