Health experts do not recommend a total lockdown

PRESIDENTIAL Spokesperson Harry Roque revealed that not even one health expert recommended the president to implement a total lockdown in Luzon.

This is what Roque said after the President’s 5-hour meeting with several health workers on Monday.

Roque said health experts recommended the President to have modified enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon where the areas without COVID-19 incidents will be cleared.

Roque admitted that although the meetings of the Inter-Agency Task Force are continuous, the president has yet to decide what to do after April 30 when enhanced community quarantine ends.

Tomorrow on Thursday, the President will announce his decision on whether or not to extend the ECQ in Luzon.
