Hugpong ng Pagbabago expels former Davao de Oro Gov. Arturo Uy due to conflict with the core principles and policies of the party, effective April 16, 2024.
Statement of Hugpong ng Pagbabago:
We regret to announce that the membership of MR. ARTURO UY who ran under the Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) Party but lost during the 2022 elections has been officially terminated, effective April 16, 2024. This decision comes in light of recent events and actions that have been found to conflict with the core principles and policies of our Party.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Uy for your contributions and efforts during your time as a valued member of our Party. Your participation has been appreciated, and this decision was not made lightly. We understand that such changes can be challenging, and we wish to assure you that this decision was reached only after careful review of our Party’s commitment to maintaining faithful public service. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
HNP commits to continue to uphold respect for the dignity of men and that government resources are tools of service for all. In the coming days, we expect the courtesy resignation of other members of the HNP as we continue our preparations for the upcoming elections.
