THE Economic & Commerce Wing from the Embassy of India, Manila, made a courtesy visit with Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Richard E. Bachmann at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex (RMSC). Counsellor Dr. Sadre Alam, head of the Economic & Commerce Wing, represented the Embassy of India together with Chantal Laude, marketing executive.
The visit looks to explore avenues for mutually beneficial collaboration in the area of sports. This gains salience in the context of the upcoming milestone of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries.
The meeting provided the opportunity for the Embassy to seek the support of the PSC for a proposed sports event to promote sports as a means for fitness and friendship in the Philippines.
