Japanese citizens protest return of troubled Osprey military aircraft

JAPANESE citizens expressed their frustration after the troubled CV-22 Osprey military aircraft resumed operations less than two weeks ago.

Residents in Okinawa expressed their distrust of the troubled aircraft and complained of the loud noise it creates in their neighborhood.

Protesters said they find it hard to believe that the accidents were caused by human error and questioned the Japanese government’s unquestioning behavior to the commands of the United States.

The aircraft in question crashed on the island of Yakushima in southwestern Japan in November 2023, killing all eight crew members.

The deadly crash led the U.S. military to suspend the entire fleet upon the request of their counterparts in Japan.

Most of the Osprey aircraft used by the U.S. military have been deployed in the Okinawa Prefecture, where most of the American troops in Japan are based.

The governor of Okinawa and some residents are still asking for an explanation for the tragic crash after it got suspended for just a few months.
