LAMAN ng social media at mga balita ang mga kasong kinahaharap ngayon ni Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, ang founder ng Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).
Mga isyung nasa korte na, mga alegasyong una nang ibinasura sa prosekusyon dahil sa kawalan ng ebidensiya na muling binuhay ngayon.
Kung titingnan nga naman, sa nakalipas na halos apat na dekada ay makikita ang mabilis na paglago ng KOJC sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Pastor Apollo.
Dumami rin ang mga tagasunod ng butihing Pastor at karamihan pa rito ay mga kababaihan.
Ngunit, bakit nga ba maraming mga kababaihan ang pumapasok sa KOJC bilang mga misyonaryo?
Nakausap ng SMNI News si Sis. Catherina Fournier, isa sa mga naging co-host ni Pastor ACQ sa kaniyang TV programs at nagsilbi rin bilang writer at director ng butihing Pastor.
Bago ito naging KOJC missionary, nagtapos muna siya ng journalism sa University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman at nagtrabaho sa broadcasting industry sa bansa ng ilang taon.
At, para sa isang propesyonal at aktibista ng UP Diliman na isinusulong ang karapatan ng kababaihan, ano kaya ang nakita ni Sis. Fournier kay Pastor ACQ upang maging bahagi ng KOJC?
“Everything that he preaches, he is able to say that- he is able to share that because he lived it first. Siya ‘yung una na nag-practice nun. Si Pastor, siya ang unang-unang protective sa mga babae.”
“He doesn’t want any woman discriminated. Yes, ayaw niyang nakikitang nababastos ang babae. Ayaw niyang nakikita na dehado ang babae because of that existing situation- the existing arrangement- that we have here in the world.”
“Ang gusto ni Pastor, women have equal opportunity, women have all the chance to grow and to become citizens who are living according to the full potential as citizens of the country.”
“And also, he wants everybody (to have) equal access to salvation,” ayon kay Sis. Catherina Fournier, KOJC Missionary.
Sa halos apat na dekada ng pamumuno ni Pastor Apollo sa KOJC ay ngayon lang lumutang ang mga usapin ng rape at pang-aabuso sa mga kabataan.
May batayan nga ba ang mga alegasyong ito laban sa butihing pastor? Ito ang pahayag ni Sis. Fournier:
“Compare the stories of those who have left. How many recently? Five people supposedly have been making false allegations- rape- against Pastor together with those other women who left.”
“Compare that to the millions of women (that is still in the Kingdom). Why don’t they ask the fulltime miracle workers here? And we are not just talking about fulltime miracle workers, what about the members in all their years?”
“39 years of the Kingdom Nation, Pastor has produced thousands of capable administrators, very capable speakers, very capable coordinators, very capable department heads. We are talking about all these women, matured women.”
“What about youth leaders, female youth leaders, all of these through the message of Pastor- just by listening to Pastor, just by looking by the way Pastor lives.”
“Pastor has been able to produce that. Why don’t they ask all those people? Rather than ask those five people. They don’t (even) want to be identified.”
“If their testimonies are true, they should go out in the open, identify themselves and then show their faces so that we can hear and their testimonies can be debunked by all these women.”
“Why don’t they come here and interview all the women, all the FTMWs. From the administrators down to all the field workers, they will give the same testimony.”
“Why, (and) how we see Pastor every day we know him.”
“You know, ako, graduate ako ng College and then I worked as a professional for several years, hindi ako magtatagal dito sa Kingdom for 19 years running 20 kung totoo ang mga allegations- about the carnal allegations, the terrible allegations- against Pastor that he is a rapist, that he is a child abuser, that he takes advantage of women and he has a harem.”
“First of all, those accusations are absurd (for) somebody who has been given the privilege to work closely with Pastor in his programs, (become) part of the production crew as a writer and also part of the technical team of our beloved Pastor, and also given a chance to travel with our beloved Pastor when he went on different crusades to other countries,” dagdag nito.
Sa kabila ng mga ingay sa mga balita at sa social media, isa si Sis. Fournier sa mga tumatayo na milyun-milyong kababaihan ng KOJC para depensahan si Pastor Apollo laban sa mga kasinungalingan na ipinupukol sa kaniya.
