OBLIVIOUS to many, the 16-day siege of KOJC Central Compound in Davao is a spiritual challenge and encounter between the forces of evil and the forces of good. It is a spiritual battle between good and evil, between God and the Devil.
The illegal, unlawful, forcible entry of police forces using lawless violence and the despicable and blasphemous desecration of KOJC Holy Ground search at random of every building, cathedral made into a Command Post, using every facility for their personal use, urinating, smoking, defecating is the devil’s manifestation of evil at its worst.
But KOJC’s response to this brutality was one of restraint, long-suffering, humility, forgiveness, compassion, love, mercy, and grace. It was a manifestation of God’s goodness at its best. This is what defeated the enemy of our soul. Every difficult passage of Scriptures that’s really hard to fulfill has been obeyed. The Scripture such as, “Love your enemy, do good to them that hate you, bless them that persecute you and despitefully use you.” (Matthew 5:44) “Overcome evil with good. Don’t recompense evil with evil.” (Romans 12:19)
All of these have been fulfilled in that 16-day siege.
Thus the Third Testament is born. It is Testament of Fulfillment of the New Covenant commands of Jesus Christ. We conquered hate with love, darkness with light, pride with humility, desecration with forgiveness, cruelty with kindness, and violence with long-suffering.
The Third Testament now is the fulfillment of the life of the Appointed Son. We won over darkness and we have the victory.
