THE special warfare command of the South Korean Army sent 35 personnel to participate in the Khaan Quest Exercise or Multinational United Nations Peacekeeping Exercise that started this Monday and will continue until the 2nd of July in Mongolia.
This is to further improve their combined operational capabilities with other countries.
According to the armed service, a total of 1,100 personnel from 35 countries will participate in the exercise including the United States, India, and Qatar.
From this, each participant is expected to further improve their skills for peacekeeping missions such as responding to improvised explosive devices, treating the wounded, and escorting convoys as well as conducting operations for humanitarian support.
It can be remembered that the United States and Mongolia first launched the combined military exercise in 2003, in which South Korea first participated in the year 2006.
