THE 7-day Laban Kasama ang Bayan Prayer Rally at Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila was a success.
The event was open to everyone, including those not affiliated with the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Thousands of our fellow citizens participated in peacefully expressing their views on various issues in the government.
Construction worker Dondon headed straight to the park after work.
He is hoping that SMNI will return to free TV because that’s where he keeps track of news and updates.
“I’m here, Sir, just waiting at the prayer rally, Sir. I always look forward to SMNI. I hope it returns to TV, Sir— we watch it in the province,” Dondon Buhat, Construction Worker said.
Also, Manuel and his wife visit the park every day.
They are avid viewers of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy’s programs — programs that are temporarily unavailable on television due to the indefinite suspension imposed by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) on SMNI.
“We really grew fond of Pastor on SMNI. Because all the news, all of it, is really true — really true. No additions, it’s really the truth that matters,” said Manuel Canindo, SMNI Supporter in Tondo, Manila.
They also admire the station’s anti-insurgency programs focused on information campaigns against the terrorist group CPP-NPA-NDF.
“SMNI is the only one exposing the NPA, the communists. But other networks— nothing!” Canindo added.
Rodrigo Gonzales from Quezon City also attended the park on consecutive days.
He said that despite sacrificing to attend the prayer rally due to his illness, this is their only way to express support for SMNI.
“Although I am a Catholic, our hearts are with Pastor and SMNI. That’s where we saw the compassion and love that Pastor and SMNI showed in the fight alongside the nation,” Rodrigo Gonzales, SMNI Supporter in Quezon City stressed.
Gonzales emphasized the significant contribution of the network’s anti-communist terrorist drive in preventing youth recruitment.
“We parents are very grateful because the youth are saved from the NPA. That’s what we’re trying to avoid for our children. I used to think there was no network brave enough to expose the true activities of the CPP-NPA, but there is — SMNI,” Gonzales added.
The LKAB Prayer Rally has concluded for now but will return in the first week of April.
