LGUs, binalaan sa mga nasirang AstraZeneca vaccines

PAGPALIWANAGIN ang ilang mga local government unit (LGUs) sa mga nasirang bakuna ng AstraZeneca vaccine na napaso noong Nobyembre 30.

Ang mga kwestyunableng mga bakuna ay bahagi sa 1.5 milyong AstraZeneca vaccine na donasyon at dumating sa bansa nakaraang huling mga araw ng Oktubre 2021.

Ayon kay National Task Force Against COVID-19 medical adviser Dr. Ted Herbosa, marami sa mga bakuna ang napangasiwaan ngunit may iilang daan sa mga ito ang hindi nagamit bago mag-Nobyembre 30.

“We consumed most of that (but) there are a few hundred doses that expired as of November 30, so that’s the one that we’re going to look into — the LGUs that were unable to inject that,” pahayag ni Herbosa.

“The promise of (Presidential Adviser for COVID-19) Vince Dizon is really to do a show-cause order for the LGUs that had vaccines that expired because this is national government property,” ani Herbosa.

Aniya, papaliwanagin ang naturang mga LGUs sa dahilan ng pagkaantala ng pagbabakuna at ang pagkapaso ng mga ito.

“They’ll be asked to explain to the Department of the Interior and Local Government why (a) case wouldn’t be filed against them for wastage of government-procured, government-donated…government-owned vaccines,” ani Herbosa.
