DAHIL sa magandang resulta ng internal security operations na ginagawa ng kasundaluhan, matututukan na ngayon ng Hukbong Sandatahan ang pagpalalakas ng external security operations para sa bansa.
Inihayag ngayon ni Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Andres Centino na ang sunud-sunod na katagumpayan at magandang resulta ng internal security operations sa unang semester ngayong taon ay magdadala sa kasundaluhan sa ibang lebel ng pagbibigay ng seguridad at ito ay ang pagtutok sa external defense operations.
“Our efforts have resulted in success with the significant reduction of their numbers and firearms and the clearing of areas where they used to maintain presence; and those countering of their, propaganda, and suppression of their financial and logistics support,” pahayag ni Gen. Andres Centino, Chief of staff, AFP.
Gayunpaman sinabi ng opisyal na magtutuloy-tuloy pa rin ang kanilang mga ginagawa na may kaugnayan sa internal security operations (ISO) na naglalayong tuluyang magapi ang communist terrorist group (CTG) at iba pang local terrorists.
“The AFP under the banner of our Internal Security Operations (ISO) continues with the aim of totally defeating the Communist Terrorist Group and other local terrorists,” dagdag ni General Centino.
Binigyang-diin nito na mula sa limang aktibong communist terrorist group guerilla fronts noong taong 2022, dalawa na ang nabuwag, dalawang humina at isa na lang ang natitira.
“It is noteworthy that from five active Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) guerilla fronts from year end 2022, two were dismantled, two were weakened, leaving only one active. With these, we have safeguarded the safety and welfare of our fellow citizens,” aniya.
Dahil dito ay pinasalamatan ni Centino ang walang humpay na pagsisikap, suporta at kooperasyon ng mga kasundaluhan at iba’t ibang ahensiya ng pamahalaan at sektor upang masawata ang mga terorista sa bansa.
“Thanks to the tireless efforts, support and cooperation of government agencies and different sectors of society,” ayon pa kay Centino.
Kaugnay nito sinabi ni Centino na dahil sa nasabing katagumpayan ay mas palalakasin pa ng kasundaluhan ang External Security Operations (ESO) sa pagpatutupad ng aerial and surface maritime patrols, employment ng air surveillance radar systems, monitoring ng sea lines of communications at ang redeployment ng Naval Special Operations units at ng Philippine Marines.
“With our substantial gains on ISO, a shift to External Security Operations (ESO) is in the horizon as we strengthen our security posture with the increased conduct of aerial and surface maritime patrols, employment of our air surveillance radar systems, monitoring of sea lines of communications and the redeployment of Naval Special Operations units and the Philippine Marines,” aniya pa.
Kung matatandaan, sunud-sunod ang mga naging katagumpayan ng kasundaluhan laban sa mga teroristang grupo na CPP-NPA-NDF.
Dahil sa hindi na mabilang ang mga sumuko na dating rebelde at mga nakubkob na lungga ng mga terorista.
