GIVEN the continued unlawful presence and activities of the battalion in the KOJC religious compound, which include failure to serve the warrant of arrest to Apollo Quiboloy, unauthorized searches, destruction of property, and physical harm to individuals within the compound, we demand immediate withdrawal of the battalion.
These actions violate constitutional rights, including the right to due process, protection against unreasonable searches and seizures, and freedom of religion. The deployment of a battalion in such a manner is disproportionate and constitutes an excessive use of force.
We further call for an independent Senate investigation into these actions to hold accountable those responsible and prevent further violations of human rights.
Immediate withdrawal is necessary to restore peace and order and to uphold the rule of law.
