THE Maritime Security Law Enforcement Command (MARSLEC) has conducted boarding exercises as part of the Vessel Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) Course in Port Area, Manila, yesterday, 15 July 2024.
Course Director, CG Lieutenant Commander Mark Jefferson Mangoyob, facilitated a series of lectures on boarding operations for the students to become proficient in conducting boarding activities on vessels suspected of illegal activities, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations.
“By simulating real-life scenarios, they become adept in handling various situations at sea, thereby contributing to the maintenance and promotion of maritime security and safety,” MARSLEC said.
“With this, the Command will continue to equip and capacitate its personnel with necessary knowledge and skills to make them competent and qualified frontline service providers,” the Command furthered.
