EVACUATION orders were issued in the small fishing town of Grindavik in southwest Sweden.
Molten lava was seen flowing into town, setting houses and buildings on fire, after two volcanic fissures opened in the nearby Reykjanes peninsula on Sunday morning.
Evacuated orders were first issued on November and another one for Monday night.
Authorities plan to evacuate the fishing town’s entire population in days.
The defense walls built to partially contain the lava after a previous eruption in December were of no match to the spilling disaster as it burned to ashes anything that came in its way.
It was the volcano’s second eruption witnessed in weeks.
No fatalities had been reported from the recent eruption.
