DAVAO City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte warned that the current political situation is bearing a semblance to Martial Law, and urged Filipinos to remain vigilant and well-informed of their rights.
He added that he and his allies are doing their best to bring former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte home, urging calm to all Filipinos.
“It is evident that the current situation bears similarities to Martial Law, even without an official declaration,” said the Davao City Mayor in a press statement.
“That is why I urge every Filipino to remain vigilant. Stay well-informed, know your rights, and be ready to defend them. Now is the time to stand firm, protect one another from any abuse of power, and ensure that no Filipino is left vulnerable in this trying times,” he continued.
“We are doing our best to bring PRRD home — to the country he loves and to the people who have always stood by him,” Mayor Baste added.
